Chuck versus The End, Part 2

MORE - DAY 3


Awesome, Big Mike, Jeff and Lester sit on the floor in misery.


AWESOME


I can't believe it.  They just came and took my daughter.


BIG MIKE


They took the whole store too.


AWESOME


What am I gonna tell Ellie?


JEFF


We'll think of something...


LESTER


Where is your wife anyway?


AWESOME


Somewhere in Asia helping Chuck.


LESTER


That's good news.


AWESOME


My wife and daughter are gone and that's good?


LESTER


Yes...because now we have time to rescue Clara before Ellie
gets back.


Everyone looks at Lester.


AWESOME


What do you have in mind?


CUT TO:


2 INT. SUB
BASE - NIGHT 3


Roan sits helplessly in his cell, face buried in his hands.


ROAN


How could this happen?  All I wanted to do was save
Diane.  Why did I listen to you Chuck?


CHUCK


Maybe because I had a good plan?


ROAN


What plan?  We're trapped here!  About to die!


Roan throws his arms up in the air in defeat.


In the process, he looks up and sees Chuck looking at him.


ROAN


How did you get out of your cell?!


CHUCK


Hang on...almost got your door lock deactivated.  Gimme
a few more minutes.


MARY


Hurry up Chuck!  The place is about to blow.


CHUCK


Got it.


The cell door opens.  Roan steps out and sees Chuck,
Sarah, Casey and Mary all waiting for him.


ROAN


How did you all escape?  It's impossible to escape these
cells.


CHUCK


I'll explain later.


SARAH


We gotta move.  Only thirty minutes or so left!


CUT TO:


3 INT. SUB
BASE - NIGHT 3


The 5 escapees make their way to the airstrip.  There is
only a small helicopter capable of carrying 2 people and a jet with room for 2
in the cockpit.


SARAH


Who can fly?


MARY


Don't look at me.  My flying days are over.


CASEY


I can fly the jet.


SARAH


Ok.  I can squeeze two more of us into that helo and get
us out, but two of you got to take that jet.


SARAH


Ok...Chuck...Mary...come on.


Casey grunts in agreement.


ROAN


You're kidding!  I'm too old to fly on a jet.


CHUCK


I'll go with Casey.


SARAH


What?!


CHUCK


It's ok.


SARAH


Be careful.


CHUCK


Why?  Casey can fly the thing.


SARAH


Because I love you.


CHUCK


I love you too.


Chuck and Sarah kiss passionately and desperately.


Roan groans.


ROAN


Have I taught you nothing Charles?  Never leave your
wife with a womanizer like me.  Come on Casey, you're flying the helo out
of here.


The group splits up.


Casey takes Roan and Mary to safety in the helicopter.


Chuck and Sarah watch while climbing into the jet.


SARAH


Roan is so sweet to you.


CHUCK


What can I say?  I get guys to be sweet on me.


Chuck, realizing what he has just said, looks embarrassed.


CONTINUOUS SHOT:

COCKPIT - DAY 3


Sarah and Chuck strap themselves in.  Sarah, in the
pilot's seat, starts the jet while Chuck fidgets nervously in his seat.


Sarah checks the instruments and notices an engine problem.


SARAH


Oh my God Chuck!  We have an engine malfunction.


CHUCK


You-you mean we're gonna blow up with the base?


CUT TO:

HELICOPTER - DAY 3


Casey, Roan and Mary look back at the island.


MARY


What's taking them so long?


CUT TO:


6 INT. JET
COCKPIT - DAY 3


SARAH


We've got about seven minutes to think of something.


CHUCK


I'm thinking!


Chuck looks frantically around.


SARAH


Chuck...I don't want to die.  I want to have your baby.


Chuck sees the ejector seat switches on the pilot's dashboard.


CHUCK


Sarah!


SARAH


What?


CHUCK


The ejector seats!


Sarah looks at the ejector switch.


CUT TO:


7 INT.
HELICOPTER - DAY 3


They see explosions erupting from the island.


They look with shock and concern.


CUT TO:


8 EXT. SUB
BASE - DAY 3


The camera has a bird's eye view of the exploding island.


Suddenly we see Chuck and Sarah come spinning up into view,
still in their ejector seats.


CHUCK


Ahhh!!!


SARAH


Chuck!  Stop screaming like a girl!


Their chairs fall off as their parachutes open and they float
safely away from the island.


CUT TO:


9 EXT. SOUTH
CHINA SEAS - DAY 3


A boat driven by Morgan pulls up and a soaking wet Chuck and
Sarah climb aboard with their parachutes, with help from Alex and Ellie.


ELLIE


Chuck, are you all right?


CHUCK


What?


SARAH


We can't hear you!  Shell shock from the explosion!


ELLIE


OK!


Ellie goes to Sarah and points to Sarah's watch.


SARAH


I see!  Is everything set up?


Ellie points to the cabin below.


ELLIE


Yes!


Sarah grabs Chuck's hand and leads him into the cabin.


CHUCK


Where are we going?!?


SARAH


Just get over there and take your clothes off!!!


CHUCK


What?!?


The cabin door closes behind them.


From behind the door:


CHUCK


What are you doing?!!


SARAH


Shut up and kiss me!!


CUT TO:

SOUTH
CHINA SEAS - DAY 3


Morgan, Alex and Ellie are at the helm of the boat, heading
towards Hong Kong.  In the sky ahead of them are Casey, Mary and Roan in
the helicopter.


We can hear Chuck and Sarah's voices from below:


CHUCK


Sarah honey, is this what you wanted me to do?


SARAH


Perfect!  Just hold my feet up like that for half an
hour!


Ellie looks down at the closed door.


ELLIE


Are you two alright down there?


Ellie waits a beat.


Ellie then starts to go down to the cabin.


MORGAN


Ellie?  What are you doing?  Let them have their
privacy!


ELLIE


I'm his big sister!  There's nothing he keeps from me!


Ellie opens the door and walks in:


Sarah is wearing her commando uniform but is barefoot. 
She is lying on her back with a cushion underneath her hips.  Chuck is
sitting in his boxers and holding Sarah's legs up in the air.


Ellie is at first shocked...


ELLIE


How long have you been at this?


CHUCK


I think about fifteen minutes sis.


SARAH


You sure we have to do this for thirty minutes after, you
know?


ELLIE


Yes...it helps lots of couples.  Just hang in there.


CHUCK


OK...but I'm getting really tired.


ELLIE


Just focus on taking care of your wife ok?


Ellie leaves.


CUT TO:

SHENZHEN - NIGHT 3


Ellie, Morgan, Alex, Chuck, Sarah, Casey, Mary and Roan have
regrouped at an empty field by the ocean.


ROAN


Let's see if we can check into a five star hotel here.
 Got to be careful in Asia...a five star here is like a three star back
home.


MARY


We can't check in anywhere or the CIA will find us.  We
don't know who's on our side yet.


SARAH


I know a place where we can hide out.


CHUCK


Where is it?

FBI
LA OFFICE - DAY 3


Awesome, Lester, Jeff and Big Mike enter.  Lester
approaches a RECEPTIONIST.


LESTER


I'd like to inquire about a FBI operation at the Burbank Buy
More.


RECEPTIONIST


There was no FBI operation at the Burbank Buy More.
 Ever.


Lester looks stunned.


LESTER


You're saying that those people who had FBI badges and raided
our store and took that man's daughter were in fact imposters?


RECEPTIONIST


Would you please leave before I call security?


CUT TO:


13 INT.
BUY
MORE - NIGHT 3


Awesome, Lester, Big Mike and Jeff are in the now empty and
abandoned store.


LESTER


It makes no sense...


BIG MIKE


We saw their badges...and their warrants.


Awesome looks concerned.


AWESOME


They took everything...merchandise...office
equipment...Clara...


Awesome thinks back...


AWESOME


They weren't Feds.  Ellie thought there was a conspiracy
going on in the government.


BIG MIKE


That makes perfect sense.


AWESOME


What?


LESTER


Chuck always so busy with off site installs...a hot girl like
Sarah suddenly showing up and dating Chuck...none of it makes any sense until
now.


JEFF


Nobody wants our service.


Awesome starts to leave.


BIG MIKE


Where are you going?


AWESOME


To check something out.

WOODCOMB - NIGHT 3


Awesome, Big Mike, Jeff and Lester sit in front of Orion's
laptop.


AWESOME


Chuck and Ellie kept it here in case of an emergency.


The laptop screen has a single question on it:


Who is this?


Awesome types in his name: Devon


The laptop responds: Access denied.


AWESOME


It doesn't accept my name.


LESTER


Why would Ellie leave this for you?


AWESOME


What do you mean?


BIG MIKE


What he means is, why does your wife expect you to cower at
home while she risks danger to help her brother?


Awesome looks at Big Mike: what is he suggesting?


JEFF


Not awesome.


AWESOME


I already told them: I don't want any part of that life.


BIG MIKE


You married into a family that lives that life.  It's in
their blood.


LESTER


Not to mention a man never leaves a woman as hot as Chuck's
sister to wander free for too long, because many a man will come poaching.


Big Mike, Lester and Jeff all nod in agreement.


BIG MIKE


You've got nothing to worry about.  You can handle
whatever's thrown at you.


LESTER


Cause your awesome.


JEFF


Captain Awesome.


A light bulb turns on in Awesome`s head.


Awesome types in his name again as: Captain Awesome.


The computer responds: Accepted.  Please wait.


The blue light that scanned Ellie before accessing the Agent
X files scans Awesome to confirm his identity.


The laptop now reads:


Identity confirmed.  Accessing data...

15 EXT.
BURBANK - NIGHT 3


The camera zooms out over the Echo Park complex until the
view is of California from the upper atmosphere.


The camera looks to the side and we see a satellite branded
as Volkoff Industries.


The satellite's transmitter changes direction.


The camera zooms in that direction.


CONTINUOUS SHOT:

WUDANG MOUNTAIN - DAY 4


The camera zooms in on China and into the Wudang Temple.


CUT TO:


17 INT.
WUDANG TEMPLE - DAY 4


Chuck and Sarah are sleeping on a mattress on the floor.
 Beside Chuck is his iPhone which starts beeping.


Chuck slowly stirs and opens his eyes.  Beside his
iPhone is an extremely large red headed centipede.


Chuck's eyes are wide open in fear.


The iPhone continues to beep but Chuck cannot move.


CHUCK


S-s-sarah?


Sarah starts to stir.


CHUCK


Sarah...I...I have to...answer my phone.


Sarah groans.


SARAH


Too early...


CHUCK


That's not the problem...


SARAH


Huh?


CHUCK


There's a huge, ugly centipede standing near it.


SARAH


Huh?


Sarah reaches over and grabs the centipede by the neck.
 She examines it, then tosses it out the open window.


SARAH


Relax...it's not even poisonous.  And their good at
controlling the insect and spider population.


CHUCK


How...how can you just do that?


SARAH


I used to live here.  And I came back for a few months a
couple of years back.


Sarah goes back to sleep.


Chuck answers the iPhone.


CHUCK


Hello?

Flashback to Sarah talking on her iPhone:


SARAH


I love you more.


The camera focuses on the iPhone screen so we can now see
what she was doing:


Sarah selects an iPhone app called Emergency and presses it.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


Sarah activated it when I called her on our way to southeast
asia.  We came up with a couple of code phrases we could use to inform
each other of emergencies without letting others know.  When she heard me
use her birth name, she knew something was wrong so she turned on the emergency
program.

We see the Volkoff Industries satellite orbiting the Earth.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


The program essentially uploads all data we have in Castle to
our orbiting data centers...a bunch of satellites Hartley deployed while he
still thought he was Alexei Volkoff.  By transferring our data to the
Volkoff Industries satellites, we essentially protect it from theft.

Awesome, Big Mike, Lester and Jeff have their mouths wide
open in awe.

CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


These satellites then hack into other satellites and using
the same methods the NSA used to track me while I was the Intersect, the
Volkoff...or I guess we should say Carmichael...Industries satellite network
was able to keep track of me wherever I was taken.

A bunch of spies posing as FBI
raided Castle and the Buy More...but from what you're telling me...

that might have helped them has already been uploaded to our satellites.

We see Chuck, Mary, Ellie,
Alex, Morgan, Casey and Roan seated around a meeting area looking at a laptop
screen in shock.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


We know.  The emergency
program took note the minute the security cameras at the Buy More caught them
taking Clara.  We have it recorded.

We see a flashback to when Clara was taken from Awesome, and
the camera focuses on an overhead security camera observing the entire incident.

You said your program used the same satellite tracking method
the NSA used to keep tabs on you while you were the Intersect.  Does that
mean...

No.  The spy satellites were tuned to my thermal
signature...Clara, being so young, is too easily hidden amongst people.

In another room of the temple, Ellie is working on a laptop,
matching images of the faces of the agents who took Clara against Interpol's
database.  Mary looks at Ellie with pride.


MARY


I'm so proud of you.  You're such a Bartowski...pouring
your anger and frustration into doing something useful.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


Ellie's finding out who took them.  Once we get their
identities and files from the security camera footage, we'll have an idea of
where they went.

Sarah thought these guys had access to some type of super
fast submarine...if they take Clara by that then it would be impossible for the
cops or even Interpol to track them.  But they have to be going to a place
with a dock...

CHUCK


Yup...good point.  We'll check those areas using the
Carmichael Industries satellite network.


Chuck beams with pride as Sarah checks her basal temperature
with the digital thermometer again.


CHUCK


Don't worry too much Devon...Mom thinks we got the thermal
signature of that supercavitating sub nailed down.

AWESOME


Bro...I hate to break it to you...but you were locked up and
have escaped...the CIA is probably on the lookout for you.  There's no way
you could escape those super secret government prisons...let alone escape
without detection.  I'm going to have to go after Clara myself.

CHUCK


Actually no...Devon...just stay put.  The emergency
program...

SPACE - DAY 3


The Carmichael Industries spy satellite dishes angle
themselves towards Asia.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


had the Carmichael satellite network track my location. 
I used an opportunity at the secret base to call the satellites and help them
pin point my location by tracking the untraceable phone line the base was
using.  Once the satellites confirmed my location, they released a virus I
wrote onto the world wide web, which secretly linked to as many servers out
there as possible.

Like cloud computing?

BASE - NIGHT 3


We see a computer terminal in the covert sub base suddenly
have its screen go blank, then be replaced by streams of scrolling text.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


Sort of...more like parallel processing.  It used one
percent of the CPU of every server it could find to hack its way into the sub
base's computer network and take over their security systems.  Once the
program had access to the base's systems, it just looked up my location in
their databases and compared against closed circuit security footage.


We now see a view of the hall where Chuck's cell was, with a
guard patrolling it.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


It then polled the security camera footage every fifteen
minutes and once it determined no guards were present, it overrode the locks on
our cells and let us all out.


The view of the hall now shows the guard leaving.


The camera goes back to the computer terminal and the
scrolling text is overridden with a red sentence:


Opening Cells in Block 1A.


The camera goes back to the hallway and we see the cell doors
open and Chuck, Sarah, Casey, and Mary step out.  Chuck goes to Roan's
cell and begins hacking the lock.


CHUCK (VOICEOVER)


And just in time...because the enemy agents that took your
daughter had set that base to self destruct.

Chuck hangs up.


CHUCK

Sarah pulls Chuck in for a passionate kiss.

A light bulb goes on in Awesome's head.

Online...Chuck did it all online...maybe we can log into
Chuck's system online.


BIG MIKE


How do you intend to do that?


AWESOME


You guys are gonna help me figure out this laptop.


Awesome starts moving the touchpad and double clicking.

Ellie, Mary, Casey, Roan, Alex and Morgan are working on a
laptop when Chuck and Sarah enter.


CHUCK


Sorry we're late.  Any luck locating Clara.


ELLIE


We think they took her to Europe.


CHUCK


Why Europe?


CASEY


Herman has a lot of contacts in Europe.


MARY


He worked as a thug for hire in Scotland in two thousand and
seven...helping local gangs in beating Polish immigrant workers.


CASEY


Then he worked as an arms supplier for a Neo-Nazi extremist
group in Germany for a while.  The stereotypical resume of an all around
scumbag.  Figured he'd go that route.


SARAH


How do you know that guy anyway?


CASEY


Met him when I first joined the marines.  He was my
first team leader.


Casey grunts resentfully.


CASEY


Didn't like him then...really dislike him now.


MARY


He's definitely the type to kidnap my
granddaughter...question is...why?


ALEX


And why did he go through all this trouble to get us here
just to kill us?


CASEY


Off US soil it's harder to trace.  The person pulling
the strings must be a legitimate high ranking CIA official?


CHUCK


Why us?  And why did they take Clara?


ELLIE


They need her for something. But Devon hasn't gotten any
ransom demands.


CHUCK


We gotta get to Europe and get some spying done.  Figure
out what he's up to.


SARAH


I have an idea of how we can get close to him.


Chuck looks horrified at Sarah.  What is she thinking?


Sarah glares back at Chuck.  How dare he think that she
would do that.


Mary sighs frustratedly.


MORGAN


How are we gonna get to Europe?  If he's doing something
for a corrupt CIA official they'll have people looking for us at every airport
and harbour.


Master Lin enters.


MASTER LIN


Perhaps I can assist you with that.

MORE - DAY 5


We see a large crowd of Nerd Herd staff and Green Shirts
entering the Buy More.


GREEN SHIRT


You know why Big Mike called this meeting?


NERD HERD


He said it was important and it'd be a volunteer only
assignment.

49 EXT.
CHINA
- UKRAINE BORDER - DAY 5


Chuck, Sarah, Casey, Ellie, Mary, Alex, Morgan and Roan are
dressed as monks and Roan is driving them in an old school bus.  Also on
the bus are 5 monks and Master Lin accompanying them.


SARAH


Sifu, why are we going through Ukraine to get to Italy?
 It's bad enough we aren't flying, but driving through Russia instead of
Pakistan adds at least a day of traveling.


MASTER LIN


Patience Sarah.  Clara is only a child so she is no
threat.  If they wanted to harm her they would have done it right when
they took her from your brother in law.  Plus the enemy is expecting us to
rush in.  Let's not be so predictable.


CHUCK


Plus we should stop by Moscow to pick up a few things from
the old Volkoff office.


Chuck starts toying with his iPhone.


SARAH


What are you doing?


CHUCK


Trying to get a signal to the Carmichael satellite network.
 We should be passing underneath the one in geostationary orbit above Asia
now.


ELLIE


Why?


CHUCK


We're gonna need help.


Chuck begins typing Moon house 3 into a text message.


CUT TO:

BUY
MORE - DAY 5


Big Mike is standing on the Nerd Herd desk addressing the
crowd of Buy More employees.


BIG MIKE


As you already know, our friend Chuck has had his niece taken
from him.  A heinous crime perpetrated by villainous and vile people.
 This tragedy inflicted upon our friend and leader cannot go unpunished.
Will we stand idly by while such a good man suffers?

51 EXT.
UKRAINE - DAY 5


The bus is heading towards an old air field.


MARY


This airport is run by corrupt officials.  We should be
able to bribe our way through.


CUT TO:


52 INT.
AIRPLANE - DAY 5


Chuck, Sarah, Casey, Alex, Morgan, Mary, Ellie, Roan, Master
Lin and the 5 monks are sitting in a small jet headed for Moscow.


Chuck and Sarah are seated next to each other, with Sarah's
arm wrapped around Chuck's.


SARAH


Why were you looking at me that way back in the temple?


CHUCK


What do you mean?


SARAH


You know...when I said I knew of a way to get closer to
Herman.


CHUCK


Well...umm...I know it was part of your job when you were CIA
to get close to certain people...and...


Sarah looks at Chuck inquisitively...


CHUCK


Well...I understand it's your job...it's what you do...and
it's all in the past...like before we got together...


SARAH


Then why is it on your mind?


CHUCK


I don't know...maybe I think too much...


SARAH


Chuck...I don't want you to think about it anymore...


CHUCK


OK...I won't...


Chuck smiles, then winces...he can't help thinking about it.


SARAH


Why is it that everyone instantly assumes that when I'm
partnered with someone, I'm sleeping with them?!?


CHUCK


Sorry.


SARAH


It's ok...ummm...so...was it just Jill and Hannah?


CHUCK


Absolutely...and since Hannah and I split, there's been only
you.


SARAH


Really?


CHUCK


Really.


SARAH


Ok...let's focus on rescuing Clara...then Beckman, ok?


CHUCK


Yeah...of course...it's just that...some of your
ex'es....well...it's not fair...like Bryce got me kicked out of Stanford...and
Shaw...


CUT TO:

MOSCOW - NIGHT 5


A couple of thugs aim and fire a shoulder launched missile.


CUT TO:


54 EXT.
AIRPLANE - NIGHT 5


The missile strikes one of the wings and the plane begins
crashing.

AIRPLANE - NIGHT 5


Everyone is strapping on parachutes.


CASEY


Alex?


ALEX


Don't worry Dad, I'll look after Morgan.


MORGAN


I take offense to that.


Casey grunts.


Roan looks out at the falling debris and sees it being shot
at by tracer rounds.


ROAN


They're shooting at everything falling out of this plane!


MASTER LIN

Casey does so and jumps, followed by Morgan, Alex and Roan.


Chuck starts throwing out things, but the plane shakes and he
falls out.

AIRPLANE - NIGHT 5


Chuck is screaming as he falls through the sky without a
parachute.


The air is rippling with tracer rounds tearing up anything
falling from the crashing plane.


The camera looks above Chuck and we see Sarah sky diving
after him.


Sarah catches Chuck and holds on to him.  She pulls her
rip cord and the chute pops up, and Sarah starts yelling to Chuck:


SARAH


Chuck!  You told me your list!


CHUCK


What?!?!


SARAH


You shared your list with me!


CHUCK


Well...you know because you were spying on me, right?!?


SARAH


Chuck!  You're the only one on my list!


CHUCK

The two thugs aim a sniper rifle at the sky.  We see the
view from the sniper scope and Chuck and Sarah are in the crosshairs.


Suddenly they are shot from behind.  They collapse to
the ground.

my dad's life's work.

Why do they need your neice?  She doesn't know anything
about the Intersect.

Chuck and the gang are hiding in a cargo hold on a train.

This train should take us through the Ukraine into Romania,
then Serbia and finally a coastal town in Croatia.  From there we'll sail
into Venice.  Once we're at Venice we can hop another train to Rome.


VIVIAN


Are you sure we'll be welcome there?  Interpol has
bounties on all of you.


CHUCK


Don't worry.  Sarah will take care of everything.

Beckman is bound to a chair.  There is a single light
bulb above her providing light.


She hears a toddler crying somewhere outside.

Chuck and gang are sailing into the Grand Canal in Venice.
 Sarah is at the tiller, carefully guiding the boat amongst a flotilla of
other sailboats, disguising themselves within the regatta.


The boat passes underneath Rialto Bridge as Chuck walks up to
Sarah and wraps his arms around her.


CHUCK


Rialto Bridge. Remember this place?


SARAH


Of course.  It's one of my favorite bridges.

VENICE - DAY 7



Chuck and the gang are making their way through some side
streets on their way to the Venice train station.


MARY


Everyone keep their eyes and ears open.  The world's
looking for us now.


ELLIE


Mom...do you really think they'll find us here?  We did
go to a lot of trouble to remain covert.


ROAN


Everyone just stay sharp and alert for anything suspicious.


MASTER LIN


Be calm..be aware...


CHUCK


Relax, I programmed my iPhone to take us through some quiet
streets.  No one's gonna find us.


Chuck is following his iPhone GPS which leads them into an
alleyway.  As Chuck moves forward he notices several goons blocking his
way forward.


CHUCK


OK...maybe the program is a bit buggy.  We'll just head
back.


The group turns around and sees even more goons blocking
their escape.


CHUCK


OK...I have to know...how did you find us?  I mean...I
did everything...encrypted channel, low frequency transmissions...you name it.


The goons remain quiet.


CHUCK


Not gonna talk huh?  Fine...we're gonna have to do this
the hard way.  Alex...look after my sister and mom, ok?


Alex rolls her eyes while Ellie grabs a frying pan lying on
the ground.


Casey grunts.


CHUCK


Ready honey?


SARAH


Ready honey.


CHUCK


Ready buddy?


MORGAN


Chuck...I was born ready.


Morgan lets out a Bruce Lee cry:


MORGAN


Whaa!!!


Morgan rushes forward and slips on some pebbles.  He
falls head first onto a support plank, which knocks down a construction
workers' platform on both Chuck's and his heads.


Morgan and Chuck fall face first into the dirt, unconscious.


SARAH


Oh my God!  Chuck!


Sarah and Casey kneel to aid Chuck and Morgan while the
others rush in different directions to take on the goons.


Master Lin and the monks use their Kung Fu skills to
successfully and easily overpower several goons.  While Mary and Roan
fight off some goons with their street fighting skills, Alex uses her karate
skills to deliver a flying side kick to the throat of another goon. 
Meanwhile Ellie proves to be a formidable fighter with the frying pan, using it
to deflect blows and deliver crushing blows to her opponents.


The camera then focuses on Sarah and Casey, desperately
attempting to revive an unconscious Chuck and Morgan.  Sarah is crading
Chuck in her arms while Casey attempts to gently slap Morgan awake.


The camera refocuses on the fighting with Ellie overpowering
a thug and Master Lin making short work of another.


The camera then focuses again on Chuck and Morgan, gradually
regaining consciousness.  Chuck in Sarah's arms, Morgan in Casey's.


The battle is over and the goons are all unconscious.


Chuck is helped to his feet by Sarah; Morgan by Casey.


CHUCK


What happened?


SARAH


It's OK Chuck.


MORGAN


All right...I'm ready...did you save any for me?


Casey grunts and rolls his eyes.

Alex and Morgan are trying to go to sleep.

I can't believe I missed an entire fight.  I didn't even
get to take out even one bad guy.

Chuck and Sarah are lying in bed together in their private
cabin.

I can't believe it!  I was supposed to be the

SARAH


Ellie can take care of herself.  She's pretty deadly
with a frying pan.  She took out five guys on her own.


CHUCK


Five guys?  This just isn't fair!


Dejected, Chuck collapses onto his pillow.


Sarah leans over and kisses him.


SARAH


It's just one fight.  You've been a hero, saving the
world over and over again for years now.  And more importantly, you've
been making every day of our marriage a joy.


CHUCK


It's just that since I was little, Ellie's always been saving
me.  I mean...when I was in high school, some huge wrestler jock used to
pick on Morgan and I, until Ellie knocked him out cold...with just one
punch!  I just wish I could help my big sister just once...


Sarah looks thoughtfully.


SARAH


You are helping her Chuck.  You're helping her find her
daughter.  You know, since I've known you, I've been really happy.


Sarah smiles at Chuck.


SARAH

Sarah and Chuck begin to kiss and Sarah turns off the lights.

Chuck and the gang arrive at a side entrance to Vatican City,
where they are stopped by 2 Swiss Guards.  One SWISS GUARD steps forward
and gives a simple informal salute.

aimed at the sky above.

We see 2 parachutists floating down.

We see a single plasma display which shows a web page divided
into 2 halves: the top showing a picture of Clara, reporting her as missing
plus a video of Clara's kidnapping at the Buy More.  The bottom shows
Beckman's portrait and indicates she is missing.


The camera PANS OUT and we see every computer screen has the
same web page.

We several people sitting in the park whose laptops all
display the same image.

Every computer screen is showing the exact same image.


The camera looks up and we see we are in a news production
studio.  There is a REPORTER in front of the cameras.

We now interrupt our regular programming for this breaking
news development.  The world wide web has been overrun by a worm which has
redirected all traffic to an unknown site with two missing persons reports,
including a videotaped kidnapping of one, who looks to be only a two years old
toddler.

An angry mob attacks the agents who kidnapped Clara.
 Amongst them is Herman.

the men that took Clara.

Chuck turns to Sarah as the Vatican diplomatic immunity

Chuck sighs in frustration.


Zondra whispers to Casey.

Why does she put up with him?

Something about Chuck...just inspires loyalty.


Zondra looks as if she's just had an epiphany.

Chuck, Sarah, Casey, Morgan, Carina and Zondra get out of
some Vatican provided cars near the Rome Termini station.


Chuck approaches a pedestrian.  He holds up a photo of
Clara's kidnapping.  The pedestrian points to the bus station.


Chuck runs back to the gang.


CHUCK


They fled to Termini.  They probably lost the police in
the crowds.


CASEY


They could escape by either bus, train or subway.


CHUCK


Let's split up then.  Morgan and I will search the buses.


SARAH


You two gonna be ok?


MORGAN


Relax Sarah...we're intersects, remember?  This won't
take too long.


Sarah looks at them: you used to be Intersects, remember?


CHUCK


Fine...I know...we should've used past tense.  But the
point is: we can handle it.


Casey grunts: really?


SARAH


Fine.  Just be careful.  You spot something, call

Carina rolls her eyes in disgust.

Chuck and Morgan notice Herman sneaking about the buses and
follow him quietly.

The man draws a knife and lunges at her.

Chuck and Morgan follow Herman onto a bus that starts moving.

Herman turns around and recognizes them.

The thug leads Sarah away when Sarah suddenly spins around
and grabs the wrist of the knife hand.

Within the men's room, Carina skillfully evades the knife
slashes.  Her opponent lunges after her, leaving himself off balance,
which she uses to flip him while twisting his knife arm, thus disarming him.


She kicks the knife away and as he gets up, kicks him in the
groin.

Zondra sneaks up on Casey's captor and puts a gun against his
head.


ZONDRA


Good job, magnet.


Casey grunts.

- DAY 8


Herman waves his knife in a horrifying manner.


HERMAN


I feel like I'm at a buffet and just don't know where to
start.


Herman advances towards them.


Morgan suddenly jumps into the driver's seat and starts the
bus by hitting the ignition button.


Herman throws his knife at Morgan.


On pure reflex, Chuck catches the knife and just tosses it
back, impaling Herman in the left lung.


Herman starts gasping for breath as he falls on his back.


CHUCK


Oh...oh....I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to!


CUT TO:

TERMINI - DAY 8


Sarah and the thug continue to subtly wrestle for control of
the knife.


Suddenly the thug grabs Sarah's hair and attempts to pull her
off balance.  Simultaneously, Sarah jams her free hand into the base of
his spine.  In response the thug shifts his stance a little.


Sarah shakes her head: that move was a mistake.


Sarah suddenly twists her stance and the thug falls into the
knife.  She then twists it in the wound to do more damage.


Rapidly losing blood, the thug collapses into Sarah's arms.
 She rests him on the floor and pats him on the cheek.


CUT TO:

TERMINI - DAY 8


Carina and the thug are engaged in a vicious and violent
struggle.


The thug rushes Carina into a stall.  He attempts to pin
her and punch her head, but Carina knees him in the groin and ducks in time.


FX/PRAC the water tank of the toilet shatters on the punch,
but injures the thug's fist.


Carina scratches his eyes and side kicks the thug's throat,
knocking him to the floor.

BUS
- DAY 8


Herman is gasping for breath.


HERMAN


Get me to a hospital...I'll talk...please...


CHUCK


Morgan...get us to a hospital!


MORGAN


I'm not moving until he tells us where Clara and Beckman are.


CHUCK


Morgan, if we don't save him now he'll never tell us anything!


MORGAN


Chuck...he needs us to live.  We got the stronger
negotiating position.


CHUCK


Just go!


MORGAN


Get off the attitude!  I only volunteered to chauffeur
for your wedding!


Morgan hits the accelerator pedal and the bus starts moving.


HERMAN


Faster!


CHUCK


Look...you kidnapped my niece and friend, so since I'm
dropping you off at the hospital you can tell me where they are.


Herman is coughing blood.


HERMAN


Go to hell!


As the bus speed hits 40 mph a beeping can be heard
underneath the bus.

Casey and Zondra are interrogating their prisoner.


THUG 1


We were transporting a bomb equipped with a momentum based
trigger. It was meant to go on a bus.

Sarah and Carina are using a sink full of water to waterboard
the other thug.


They pull his head out of the water so he can grab a few
breaths.

GPS detects it's moving at forty miles an hour.

Chuck looks nervous as he listens to the beeping.

Chuck's iPhone rings.  It's Sarah.

Sarah is frantically explaining the situation to Chuck.


SARAH


You gotta keep the bus going at least forty miles per hour.
 Any slower the beeping stops and the bomb goes off.

Chuck has found the bomb, attached securely to the bottom of
the bus.  He makes a call on his iPhone:

Found the bomb but I can't disarm it from here.

Don't touch it!  Just get out of the city!

Morgan...get on a highway.


Chuck starts searching Herman.  He finds his wallet.
 Opening the wallet, he finds a piece of identification.  It has
Herman's mug shot, and below:


Classified.  Mont St. Michel Intersect Lab.


Chuck pockets the ID and calls Ellie:

I think they took Clara to Mont St. Michel.

Ellie and Mary are listening on the speaker phone.


ELLIE


Thanks Chuck.  Mom and I are flying off to Paris now to
meet up with Ilsa.  She's cleared our names and we'll ask her to take us
to Mont St. Michel too.


MARY


The Vatican is coordinating the Swiss Guard with the Rome
police in disarming that bomb.

A squad of police cars with flashing sirens surround the bus
and clear the way ahead.

- DAY 8


Chuck is interrogating Herman.


CHUCK


I take it Clara's at Mont St. Michel.


Herman coughs blood.


HERMAN


Yeah...but you'll never get to her...Mont St.
Michel's...impregnable...


CHUCK


Where's Beckman?


HERMAN


Same place.  We needed her access codes to download the
Intersect three point O.


Herman coughs some more.


Chuck calls Sarah.


CHUCK


We're gonna need to get Herman onto an ambulance soon if we
want to get more out of him.

VATICAN - DAY 8


SARAH


The Rome police have arranged for something.


CUT TO:

BUS
- DAY 8


A flatbed truck with several policemen pulls alongside the
speeding bus.


Roan is on the truck and on the phone with Chuck.


ROAN


We're ready to extract Herman now.  Open the door and
hand him over.


CUT TO:

- DAY 8


CHUCK


Not that easy. He can't walk. We need a stretcher.


MORGAN


And gas!

BUS
- DAY 8


ROAN


Don't worry.  We got it covered.


Roan pockets his phone.


ROAN


Get the stretcher out. And get ready to fill her up.


The bus doors open and we see Morgan at the wheel.  The
truck pulls in close and a cop begins pumping gas from a fuel tank into the
bus.  Another cop brings a stretcher over to the bus.

BUS
- DAY 8


Chuck pulls the stretcher into the bus.  He starts
trying to lift Herman onto the stretcher, but the bus is shaking.


CHUCK


Morgan!  Try to keep it steady!


MORGAN


I'm trying...but there's potholes!


CHUCK


Someone help me!


2 passengers help Chuck lift Herman onto the stretcher.
 They then carefully pass him over to the police on the truck.

The police drag the stretcher onto the truck and it pulls
away.

is a police copter and the other is a copter with Vatican markings.

Casey listens and runs his finger along a map.  He turns
to his daughter.

Alex...where does this highway take them?


Alex traces the bus' route by finger.  Her finger stops
and the camera ZOOMS IN on her finger, which rests on a bridge under repair.


ALEX


Dad...we gotta major problem.


Casey looks at the map and gets on the radio.


CASEY


Bartowski...we gotta problem.

I'm looking ahead now.

The camera follows Sarah's helo forward over the highway to
the bridge which is missing its middle section.

The camera follows back from the gap in the bridge through
the front window of the bus past Morgan driving to Chuck on the phone with
Sarah.


CHUCK

against the guard rail and set off the bomb!

It looks like a thirty degree incline.

Morgan floors it.  The bus starts gaining speed.


CHUCK


Everyone get up front.  We need the rear to be light to
clear the jump.


The passengers crowd up front.


Looking out the front window we see the broken bridge nearing.

The police and Vatican car escorts pull over into the curb as
the bus heads towards the jump.

CHUCK


Everybody hang on.


PASSENGER


We trust you man.


We look through the front windshield as the bus goes up the
bridge.


The bus riders, Chuck and Morgan all begin screaming together
in fear and anticipation.

The bus goes up the ramp and clears the gap.

The bus hits the other side of bridge and lands on its front
wheels.  Part of the rear doesn't clear the gap so the rear wheels hang
over the back.

SLOW MOTION of the bottom of the bus as part of the bottom
hits the bridge, but luckily not the explosive.


The momentum of the bus carries the rest of it over.

The group cheers and applauds Chuck.  Some passengers
pat him on the back.

Chuck looks out at the highway signs.

We see the highway signs above, including one indicating the
exit to the airport.

Chuck points toward the exit and Morgan steers correctly.

Chuck points ahead.

Uhh...buddy...there's a fence in the way.


CHUCK


Speed up!  Ram through it!


Morgan hits the accelerator while turning.

The bus smashes down a chain link fence and rolls onto a
runway in Leonardo da Vinci airport.


The camera pans out to a bird's eye view of the area and we
see the bus is on a runway towards a ring runway.  Overhead are 2
helicopters.

HELICOPTER - DAY 8


SARAH


Good plan Chuck!  Now you can drive circles around
runways!  Casey!  What about that stuff Chuck asked for?

CHUCK


Morgan...go over there.


Chuck points to the ring.


Morgan heads forward.


CHUCK


Now just keep going around the ring.

AIRPORT - DAY 8


The bus begins driving in circles around the runways.


Flashing sirens are heard as the Rome police cars and Vatican
cars drive onto the runways to clear the way for Chuck's bus.

- DAY 8


Chuck and Morgan are watching ahead as a tow truck gets onto
the runway ahead of them, then falls back and pulls up alongside them.


Chuck looks out the bus door and sees Carina driving it.
 Carina looks back at Chuck and nods at him.


CHUCK


Morgan...drive steady...I'm getting off here.


CONTINUOUS SHOT:

AIRPORT - DAY 8


Chuck opens the bus door. He then steps off the bus and onto
the tow truck.


The tow truck pulls over to the center of the ring.

AIRPORT - DAY 8


The tow truck stops and Chuck jumps onto the airport tarp.


Carina gets out and starts helping chuck put on body armour.


CARINA


This has got to be the craziest stunt I've ever been a part
of.


CHUCK


Well geez...thanks for the vote of confidence.


CARINA


So after this, wanna come over to my place?


CHUCK


What?!  I'm married!  You were a bridesmaid at my
wedding!

SARAH


Do you mind?  You just propositioned my husband!


From the cockpit view we can see Sarah is landing.

CHUCK


Actually...I know she hasn't.

- DAY 8


Morgan is still driving around in circles.


MORGAN


What's taking him so long?


Through the bus windshield, we see Chuck climb onto the back
of the tow truck. Carina climbs back into the driver's seat while Sarah gets on
the back.  The tow truck pulls in front of the bus.


We can now see Chuck strapped to a trolley attached to the
tow cable.


MORGAN


What are you up to?


Sarah presses a button and the tow cable starts unwinding,
allowing the trolley to roll onto the runway behind the tow truck and towards
the speeding bus.


MORGAN


Oh my God Chuck, you are nuts.

- DAY 8


Chuck slides underneath the speeding bus, while he and Morgan
exchange looks of concern.

SARAH


Chuck...please be careful.

- DAY 8


Chuck is now underneath the bus.  As he slides under the
bomb, he attaches harnesses to the bus so the trolley remains underneath it.


Chuck attaches his iPhone to the bomb using an USB cable.
 He then talks into his radio:


CHUCK


Hartley...my phone's attached.  Start hacking while I
try to re-wire.

VATICAN - DAY 8


Hartley is typing away at a computer.


HARTLEY


Don't worry Charles.  I'm at it.

BUS
- DAY 8


Chuck is tampering with the bomb with a screwdriver and
tweezers.


CHUCK


The accelerometer looks unprotected.  I'll see if I can
make it think the bus is at sixty miles an hour.


Chuck starts working away.

TOW
TRUCK - DAY 8


We see Sarah focused on the tow cable, which is vibrating.


SARAH


Carina...try to stay as steady as possible!

- DAY 8


The bus shakes as it rides over some potholes.


MORGAN


Easy Morgan...easy.

- DAY 8


The trolley is shaking as Chuck is re-wiring the explosive.


CHUCK


Sarah...what's going on over there?  Get Carina to drive
steady!

AIRPORT - DAY 8


Tow Truck: The tow line is getting tenser, and smoke is
coming from the pulley.


Sarah and Carina are yelling at each other in order to hear
each other over the wind.


SARAH


How dare you make up things about my personal life?  I
don't date around!  All my relationships were exclusive!


CARINA


Well...good to know at least you were exclusive.


SARAH


What's that supposed to mean?


CARINA


Let's just say...I know from first hand experience that
neither Bryce nor Shaw were exclusive.


SARAH


What?!  Well...I don't care.  That's in the
past.  Chuck and I are exclusive and that's all that matters to me.


Distracted by the discussion, Sarah doesn't realize that the
wire is too tense until the pulley breaks and the wire begins unwinding too
quickly.


SARAH


Oh my God!  Chuck!


CUT TO:


180 EXT.
BUS
- DAY 8


Suddenly the harnesses holding Chuck's trolley underneath the
bus snap and Chuck starts rolling back towards the rear wheels.


In desperation, Chuck takes a screwdriver and stabs it into a
nearby canister to stop from sliding under a bus wheel.  The canister
starts leaking fluid.


Chuck starts banging on the bus floor.


CHUCK


Help!  Help me!


CUT TO:

AIRPORT - DAY 8


Sarah cannot see Chuck from the back of the tow truck.


SARAH


Morgan!


Sarah points to underneath the bus.


CUT TO:

BUS
- DAY 8


The passengers rip apart the floor of the bus and pull Chuck
inside.


MORGAN


Chuck...get up front.  Your wife's freaking out.


The passengers rush Chuck to the front of the bus, where he
waves to Sarah.

AIRPORT - DAY 8


Sarah puts her hand on her chest and breathes a large sigh of
relief.  Thank God he's safe.


Her tow truck pulls off the runway.

- DAY 8


MORGAN


Buddy...I'm convinced you got one huge, hairy pair of cahonas
down there!


CHUCK


Thanks buddy...I think...


Morgan looks at the dashboard.


The camera ZOOMS IN on the fuel gauge, which shows the fuel
level rapidly dropping.


MORGAN


Chuck...We got a major problem here.


Morgan taps the fuel gauge.


Chuck looks at it:


CHUCK


Sorry buddy...I think that was me.


Chuck then calls Sarah on his iPhone:


CHUCK


Sarah...we need a way off this bus now.


CUT TO:

AIRPORT - DAY 8


Sarah is getting on a passenger transfer bus along with
Carina.


SARAH


We got it covered.  You need what?


CUT TO:

AIRPORT - DAY 8


The passenger transfer bus drives onto the runway, eventually
pulling alongside the bus.


CUT TO:

BUS
- DAY 8


Chuck turns to the passengers.


CHUCK


Everybody...my wife is gonna get us off.  Please line up
single file behind the yellow line.


Chuck turns to Morgan:


CHUCK


Just keep driving steady buddy.


They look out the door and see Carina pulling alongside in
the passenger transfer bus.  The side doors of the other bus are open with
2 police at each.  Sarah is standing in the center with a rope.


Morgan opens the bus door.


CHUCK


Everyone please exit one at a time.


The passengers do so, each giving Chuck a hug of appreciation
on the way out.  The police help them cross from one moving bus to the
other.


Finally Sarah comes to the door and holds out the rope to
Chuck's bus.  Chuck reaches over to grab the rope and their hands touch.


SARAH


Be careful!


CHUCK


Love you!


Their touch is broken as the transfer bus takes the others to
safety.


Chuck turns to Morgan.


CHUCK


Go that way!


MORGAN


Why don't we just keep going straight?


CHUCK


Buddy let's try not to crash a speeding bus with a bomb on
board into anything expensive.


Morgan steers the bus towards an empty field.


Chuck presses on the accelerator while tying the rope around
the steering wheel so Morgan can get up.


Chuck and Morgan open the emergency escape trolley.  One
end falls onto the runway, leaving a trail of sparks behind.


Chuck lies down on the trolley still holding the rope to
steer the bus.  Morgan climbs on top of Chuck wrapping his arms and legs
around Chuck in a lover's embrace.


CHUCK


I should've asked Sarah to switch places with you!?


Chuck releases the final latch and the trolley hits the
runway.

The trolley rolls behind the bus as Chuck uses the rope to
steer them safely. He then releases the rope.

AIRPORT - DAY 8


The trolley spins and rolls into a ditch, taking Chuck and
Morgan to safety.

The bus slows down and explodes on the empty runway.

Chuck gets up with Morgan still wrapped around him.


CHUCK


Buddy...you can let go now.


Sarah runs up to them as Morgan gets onto the ground.


Sarah and Chuck kiss.


SARAH


Time to go to Mont St. Michel to save Clara and Beckman.


CHUCK


That place has got to be guarded like Fort Knox.  We're
gonna need help to get them out.


SARAH


I just got off the phone with Casey.  The Vatican Swiss
Guard will provide us with guns and other equipment...they got our jet from
China and will give it a Vatican flight registration so Decker won't know we're
coming.

Big Mike is standing on the Nerd Herder desk addressing
Chuck's Buy More employees.  Over this, Caption: Three days ago.


BIG MIKE


No one should feel obligated to join this mission.  This
is a decision I have made for myself.


Big Mike takes a bite out of a Subway sandwich he's been
eating.  After a few good chews he swallows it.


BIG MIKE


If there are not enough members to crew the Contessa...I will
attempt a dinghy assault with anyone willing to join me.


A quick view of the Green shirts and Nerd herders who are now
inspired.


BIG MIKE


Have no illusions.  This is almost certainly an one way
trip; so don't volunteer out of sentiment or emotion.
